"Don’t even waste your time they do what they want. Expect you to pay and don’t correct their own mistakes. As you can see in the review below Amanda has no costumer service skills what’s so ever. Michelle has my insurance starting in may I never even had a running car until July! So if you have extra money to donate to them go ahead but I would avoid this location not one of them care about their customers"

"I contacted Scott Northrup's office because I was very specifically interested in purchasing an auto policy. I had heard that State Farm provides coverage for part-time food delivery and ridesharing (a rarity in New York State) and I wanted to ask about it. My initial interaction with the office were fine. Amanda provided me with quotes (including for homeowners and umbrella) because I was curious about what the bundling discounts would be. The trouble started when I told Amanda I was not interested in a homeowners policy and that I only wanted to purchase an auto policy and an umbrella policy. She did not listen to me and pushed me to purchase the homeowners policy. She told me that I didn't have coverages in place on my current policy that I think I do (I disagree with her, as I trust my current agent and current insurance company). I politely tried to redirect her to what I really cared about (the auto policy) twice in our email threads, and when she didn't take the hint, I directly asked her to drop the push/sales pitch for the homeowners policy and to provide me the information I was seeking about the auto policy. If she had done that, I would have purchased two policies from this agency (auto and umbrella). Instead of dropping it and moving on, she leaned in harder, telling me that she really just wanted to make sure I had the right coverage. While I think this might be true, the fact that she didn't listen to me (the customer) about what I wanted to purchase made me not trust her and I decided not to move forward with purchasing any policies at all with this agency. I provided her with this same feedback (that it's important to listen to your customer to help build a relationship and trust over time). She never apologized for not listening to me; all she said was that she was "sorry that I felt this way". I ended up contacting another State Farm agent who was much better and sold me the policy I wanted without insisting multiple times that my current coverages were wrong."

"I recently filled out a request on the internet to see if I could save some money on my car insurance. Amanda sent me a quote for all three of my vehicles. In looking at the quote, I was currently paying almost $80.00 less than she quoted me. I let it go. Out of the blue a day later I received a phone call from Amanda, I stated that my current rate was less expensive however, I stated that perhaps they could take a look at my motorcycle policy, I gave her all the information and sure as day she actually saved me almost $800.00 a year. I told her the only reason I asked about my bike insurance was because she followed up with a phone call. She was extremely helpful and professional. Thanks."

"I had a terrible accident recently and had to be brought to the ER trauma for care. I went home the same day, rested and then I got an immediate follow up from my insurance company. Kathleen has been so wonderful, thorough and patient with me through the whole process. She made sure I had everything I needed to get this done. I couldn’t have done it without her. Then, Michelle was also very understanding and amazing! She helped me understand concepts and what or how to navigate for things I needed.
